Amanda Kelsey
Executive Director
Amanda comes to Park Visalia from her previous role as Operations Executive Administrative Assistant and Employment Outreach Ambassador for Carefield Living. A native of Hanford, Amanda received a Bachelor’s Degree in Organizational Leadership from Fresno Pacific University and is a certified California Residential Care for the Elderly (RCFE) administrator. She is passionate about helping others, and is a member of the California Grange, Cabrillo Club and Salvation Army Home League. During her free time, she enjoys spending time with family, camping, and loves a good book.
Laureano Sanchez
Memory Care Director
Born and raised in Fresno Ca, Laureano has over 10 years of experience in senior living. Inspired by his strong relationships with his grandparents, he started his career as a med tech and was then promoted to Assisted Living Supervisor, followed by Memory Care Director. Working with seniors living with Alzheimer’s and Dementia helped him realize his passion for Memory Care. Eager to learn more, he continued his education and became a Certified Dementia Practitioner and is an active volunteer for the Alzheimer’s Association. His past roles have taught him how to become a better leader by being hands on and supporting his care team to provide the best care possible. He enjoys working with his team and residents at Park Visalia. When not at Park Visalia, he loves spending time with his family, staying active, cooking and traveling.
Karla Castillo
Assisted Living Director
Karla is a native of Whittier, CA and joined the Park Visalia team in 2023. She is not only the Assisted Living Director but a Licensed Vocational Nurse as well. Before joining our team, she worked as a traveling nurse. Karla is a mother of four and she enjoys spending time with them on her days off. When asked what her favorite part of her role at Park Visalia is, she stated that she most enjoys spending time with the residents.
Shannon Phiew See
Business Office Director
Shannon has been with Park Visalia since 2006. She began with Park Visalia as a front desk receptionist, and went on to be a Medical Technician, then a Wellness Coordinator, and now serves the community as the Business Office Director. “My favorite things about Park Visalia are the people I work with and the residents. I really love what I do.” In her free time, Shannon enjoys the outdoors with family. She loves to hike and go fishing and camping.
Katherine Navarro
Sales Director
Katherine joined the team in 2022 as a Receptionist. Her passion for residents and their families was so evident that she became the Sales Coordinator and then Sales Director. She enjoys meeting families who are looking at senior living options and helping provide them with solutions that make a meaningful difference in their lives. Through her journey at Park Visalia, Katherine discovered that her true passion is working in Senior Living. Her other passion is spending time with her family playing board games, trying new restaurants, and taking trips to the lake.
Molly Martinez
Culinary Director
Chef Molly has been in the healthcare culinary field for 17 years and has been with Park Visalia since 2021. In the past, she traveled to different locations and assisted with kitchen operations, coaching the teams on how to effectively operate from within. Park Visalia has offered a unique experience, one where she gets the opportunity to know staff, residents, and their families on a personal level. During her free time, Molly loves to spend time with her family and making delicious meals. Her favorite color is blue, which make sense because she is a BIG New York Yankees Fan!
Joe Juarez
Maintenance Director
Joe has been with Park Visalia since 2015. With a varied background as a painting contractor and business owner, he has worked as a maintenance director in skilled nursing and assisted living for over eleven years. His favorite thing about Park Visalia: “Here the residents are like family. I cherish the relationships with residents and the staff. In my free time, I love to being with my family, watching a movie or playing a game together.
Sophie Schueller
Lifestyle Director
A native of Minnesota, Sophie brings a unique charm to our California community. She is passionate about providing person-centered lifestyle programs to the residents at Park Visalia. Sophie received her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Northwesterm St. Paul. During that time, she began working in Senior Living and found that to be the path she wanted to continue on. Her favorite vacation spot is her family cabin on a lake where she enjoys the calmness of sitting at the end of the dock with her feet in the water watching the sunset.
