We are pleased to announce that Park Visalia’s Laureano Sanchez is Carefield Living’s 2024 Tanzanite Award winner.
The Tanzanite Award is a part of Carefield Living’s employee recognition program where team members are encouraged to go above and beyond for residents and their families. Each year, Carefield Living community Executive Directors nominate up to two team members per community who have exemplified Carefield Living’s core values and demonstrate dedication to quality work and outstanding service to residents.
Laureano Sanchez has been with Park Visalia since 2021 and has grown within the community, now serving as Lightfinder™ Director. Known for his willingness to step up, Laureano took on leading Park Visalia’s Assisted Living department in addition to his own Lightfinder™ department during a vacancy in the Assisted Living Director role. He also effectively manages his team and is known for taking a hands-on role when it comes to caring for Park Visalia’s residents. He can be seen working alongside his team to assist residents with eating as well as changing briefs.
Laureano is known for his calm presence and his honesty. He can be seen cracking a joke from time to time, inserting humor into residents’ days. But most of all he’s known for his caring heart, which is his defining characteristic according to Park Visalia’s leadership team, residents and family members.
As a winner of the Tanzanite Award, Laureano will receive two coach airplane tickets to anywhere in the continental United States. Carefield Living Tanzanite Award winners also receive three days off of work with pay along with a personal plaque and their name added to the Tanzanite Award Winner’s plaque at the Carefield Living Home Office.
“I couldn’t be more pleased with our 2024 winner of the Tanzanite Award,” remarked Breck Austin, Chief Operating Officer at Carefield Living. “Laureano is the true embodiment of Carefield Living’s mission and values and we thank him for everything he has done.”
