Why Families Trust Artesian of Ojai

“Our parents moved into the Artesian in December 2023. This was a quick decision as they had been living on their own until November and many things happened that made it apparent that they were no longer able to live on their own. I reached out to two Ojai facilities and found that The Artesian had more to offer. Opened in 2020 it was so shiny and new! We loved it.

My parents have adjusted well and enjoy all the members of the community. The staff is amazing and so caring. The are now eating three wonderful meals a day and are safe and secure in their cute “apartment”.

There are many activities for them to participate in and also some throughout each month for families to attend. There is no pressure from staff to participate in any of them, if that’s not your thing, which is great. We were worried about that at first but have had no problems. Dad likes bingo so he enjoys that!

I highly recommend The Artesian and am so thankful my parents are close and I can visit them daily.”

“Our father has been at the Artesian for about 6 months and we are so pleased with the care and comfort he receives there. The staff are all so caring, friendly, attentive, and approachable. Seems like the owners of the facility are there at least once a week doing chores, and chatting with everyone.:- We love the way the beautiful new buildings are laid out with a central kitchen/dining room, living room, and den for each building. It truly feels like a home! (unlike other facilities that feel more like a hotel) What a relief it is to have finally found his “forever home”

UPDATE: Dad’s been at The Artesian of Ojai almost 2 years and we are still very pleased.

It’s very home-like, he can retreat to his private room to read or nap, or go to the common areas for conversation and activities if he desires. All with us knowing that someone has an eye on him and is taking care of (and keeping notes about) his daily needs. One nice thing that I have noticed is that the staff seems to have a very low turn-over rate – the same friendly helpers have been there all this time.”

“Just can’t say enough positive about The Artesian of Ojai!!!

When my uncle, who was never married and never had children, was severely and permanently injured at work, his care fell to me. He lived in South Pasadena. I live in Summerland. He was in rehab for a year, during that time I looked at memory care places from So. Pas. To Goleta! Although he sustained a brain injury, he was/is in great physical condition! Pretty much every place I looked at treated those in memory care as if they were all in wheelchairs drooling on themselves. That’s certainly not his case! I he hadn’t become a senior scientist at JPL/NASA he could have been a professional athlete. He needed a place that would understand his needs and treat him with the individual care he deserves. The Artesian more than fills his needs!

The wonderful caregivers at Artesian make sure his physical and intellectual needs are met. The staff know every resident well and provide individual care designed specifically for them! It didn’t take long to know that I had found exactly the right place for him!!!!”
