The Salad Bowl of the World
Madonna Gardens sits in the Los Olivos neighborhood of South Salinas, surrounded by rich culture, farm fresh cuisine, and vibrant scenery for residents and their families. Salinas has long been known as the Salad Bowl for its rich agricultural history, but it also has a literary one. Readers flock to Salinas as the birthplace of novelist John Steinbeck. More recently, wine-enthusiasts have joined them. For ocean lovers, Monterey is just a quick 30 minute drive.
A Unique History
While today, our residents experience the convenience of one-story living on a beautiful 7-acre property, Madonna Gardens was once Madonna Manor, an all-female community run by The Catholic Daughters of America. We honor that history today with the stained glass windows from the original property repurposed into a tranquil reflection circle in our garden.

Meals at Madonna Gardens are prepared from fresh ingredients and served three times a day. Residents can select a tantalizing daily special or choose a favorite from the regular menu. Our team understands that dining service and meal presentation play a large part in the joy of eating. Our chefs craft meals to be as beautiful as they are delicious.

Madonna Gardens has a designated fitness room for classes or individual exercise. With weights, a recumbent bike, and other fitness tools, residents are supported in their efforts to stay mobile, strong, and well-balanced.

Aviary
One of our most unique features is housed in our Memory Care. Our indoor aviary is a particular favorite of residents who enjoy the variety of exotic birds, the hatching of eggs, and our educational experts that come to speak.
Pet Friendly
Four-legged companions are welcome at Madonna Gardens! We understand how important it is for residents to continue residing with a beloved pet. Though this policy only applies to our Assisted Living residents, families are encouraged to bring pets along when visiting a loved one in Memory Care.

We offer Private Studios for both Assisted Living and Memory Care. Our Assisted Living Studios come with or without a patio. For visuals, approximate square footage, and starting prices, please see our Floor Plans.
Yes—well-behaved pets are welcome in our Assisted Living community. For safety reasons, in our Memory Care community, we cannot allow pets to reside here.
