Maria Gomez is the Resident Care Director at The Artesian of Ojai, where she has been a dedicated member of the team since 2021, serving in a variety of roles. With over 15 years of experience in the healthcare industry, Maria brings a wealth of knowledge and a deep commitment to compassionate care.

In her current role, Maria oversees the care of all residents at The Artesian of Ojai, ensuring they receive the highest quality of support in a nurturing and respectful environment. Her passion lies in giving back to the community, particularly in advocating for and uplifting the senior population. She believes that a resident’s stay in a care community should be seen as a reward for a life well-lived—not a punishment for aging.

Maria is known for her hands-on leadership, strong work ethic, and heartfelt dedication to those she serves.

For over five years, Nathane has dedicated his skills in plumbing, electrical work, painting, gardening and community repair to maintaining communities where seniors feel safe, supported, and at home. But to Nathane, maintenance is more than just fixing what’s broken, it’s about creating an environment where people can live with dignity, comfort, and peace of mind.

At The Artesian of Ojai, Nathane takes his role seriously to ensure, not only that our buildings and grounds are well cared for, but that every safety measure is in place. He devotes significant effort to helping our staff understand their roles in emergency situations, so that in any moment, we are ready, unified, calm, and prepared to protect the people we serve.

Michelle Romero is honored to serve as the Lifestyle Director at The Artesian of Ojai, bringing years of experience and a deep commitment to senior living. Since 2017, she has been dedicated to creating meaningful connections with residents and families, ensuring they feel seen, heard, and supported each day. Michelle finds the greatest joy in watching residents light up during activities—especially those that spark comfort, creativity, and cherished memories. She is passionate about designing enriching experiences that foster a sense of purpose and community. Outside of work, Michelle enjoys creative writing, reading, and spending quality time with her daughter.

Marketing & Sales Director, has been part of The Artesian Senior Living team for over three years.  With a professional background in wedding and event planning, she brings a natural gift for organization, connection, and creating meaningful experiences. Andrea’s warm, approachable style makes families feel immediately at ease as they explore options for their loved ones.

While marketing is her profession, helping seniors find a true sense of home is her passion. Andrea believes that every resident deserves more than just a place to live—they deserve a place to belong. She considers it a privilege to walk alongside families during such an important decision, offering guidance, encouragement, and heartfelt support every step of the way.

David’s 15-year career in Senior Living has included positions as Activity Director, Hospice Liaison and Executive Director. After moving out of Ojai after 12 years living in its beautiful valley, David is glad to be back working in the town he loves. A member of the Ojai Hospital Guild and the Ojai Chamber of Commerce, David believes in giving back to and supporting the local community.

Senior Living is a passion for David who loves his residents, staff and their families. Helping new residents and their families adjust to the community is a special part of his job. He can regularly be seen touring the community and giving residents lots of hugs. He doesn’t see his role as a job, but a calling.

David is originally from England and has 4 children and 3 dogs. When he has any spare time, he loves to watch his favorite English soccer team, West Ham United, who have been letting him down for over 50 years!
