The Artesian provides assisted living and memory support services for seniors in a setting that models home. Accommodations include studio and one-bedroom units that allow our residents to live a purposeful life as independently as possible. Our community features four homes with Spanish colonial-inspired architecture, as well as an exercise pool and outdoor barbecue patio for social gatherings. Life at The Artesian of Ojai is designed to enhance residents’ physical, social, spiritual, creative, and intellectual wellness.

At The Artesian, we provide assisted living and memory support services in a home-like setting that allows our residents to live a purposeful life as independently as possible.

At the Artesian of Ojai, we provide individualized support based on the needs of each resident. We develop our care plans via an in-depth interview and assessment. Residents utilize supportive services as needed which include:

• Support with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) – Our caregivers, called "guides," assist with ADLs including bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, transferring, and toileting.
• Medication Administration – A licensed nurse supervises medication administration, dispensing medications as ordered by each resident’s primary care physician and arranging trips as needed to physician offices.
• Engagement with Life – Our active life enrichment calendar is designed to enhance the engagement and socialization of our residents. Activities include art classes, musical therapy, games, fitness classes, and nature walks.
• Nutritious Meals – We serve three delicious, family-style meals prepared with fresh, local ingredients every day, promoting healthy weight maintenance and overall activity.
• Mobility Support – Daily on-site exercise and physical activities improve mobility, strength, and wellness. Universal design elements in living areas support resident mobility.
• Transportation – Local transportation to physician visits, shopping, and entertainment outings is available for our residents.
• State-of-the-Art Technology – Each apartment is equipped with an emergency call system for peace of mind, and memory support areas have delayed egress systems to ensure safety.
• Housekeeping – Weekly housekeeping and linen services allow residents to live free from chores and remain focused on vibrant, productive lives.

• Comfortably Appointed Common Areas – Common areas throughout our community are designed with functionality and comfort in mind. Residents enjoy access to activity areas for games, art classes taught by local artists, music therapy, and other sources of entertainment. Private areas for reading and computer use are also available.
• Utilities Included – Utilities are included in monthly fees, including basic cable television service and Wi-Fi.
• Pet-Friendly – Animals provide an excellent source of companionship for many seniors. Small pets are always welcome in our community as approved by the administrator.

Our Assisted Living services make transitioning from home as seamless as possible. Creating a harmonious balance between offering support while allowing for independence is a specialty of our highly trained team members. Our Memory Support services allow residents with cognitive limitations to lead a lifestyle that is comfortable and safe. Our “Guides” help each resident navigate their daily activities as needed.
